I would have loved to see Elvis perform in person

I wish I was alive to see Elvis Presley perform just one time. He is so captivating and amazing. His voice bellows through your soul. As a child I used to watch all of his movies. I would sit and watch with complete and total admiration. Nothing could tear me away from them. His looks were beyond compare and his acting was great. He portrayed so many different characters yet they were all so Elvis. He was an amazing character himself. The first time I saw a video showing him performing on stage I fell in love. His beautiful skin glistened with sweat as he sashayed across the stage. Women were fighting just to get a glimpse of him shaking his hips. Elvis had already died and vinyl packaging was out before I was born so I never got to see the mass hysteria he induced. Yet, I would have been right there in the crowd had I been old enough.

When I watched him perform in that movie I didn’t take my eyes off the screen. I imagined he was singing to me, about me, and for me. The women who were there were fainting and fighting to get his handkerchief. I had only heard of people fainting when they saw Michael Jackson. Elvis was amazing compared to him. His would look into the camera and make you feel like he was singing just to you. You could almost feel his hand grab the side of your face while he looked into your eyes and sing. Seeing him in person would have been amazing. Hearing his voice. Watching him dance. Oh just the though of getting his handkerchief makes me smile. Elvis is the original heart throb and to this day I don’t think there are many women who would not swoon at the thought of meeting him.
